The Working Group for Cardiovascular Nurses and Allied Professionals (AG-KAPT, WG-CNAP) commits itself

  • to support best practices in the clinical area
  • to promote education and training for nurses and allied professionals in the field of Cardiology
  • to promote nursing research
  • with the goal to improve the care provided to cardiac patients and their family members.

We provide support to nurses and allied professionals working in cardiovascular nursing. We are a working group to exchange ideas, to translate research results into practice and to support priorities for future developments in the field of cardiovascular nursing.

The Working Group for Cardiovascular Nurses and Allied Professionals is a member of both the Swiss Society of Cardiology and the Association of Cardiovascular Nursing and Allied Professions (ACNAP) of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC). The AG-KAPT serves as a network for Cardiovascular Nurses and Allied Professionals and has the goal to maintain national and international contacts in order to promote improvements in the quality of cardiovascular nursing.

As an umbrella organization, the AG-KAPT supports the following three Interest Groups:
